Barely weeks after a senator and house of representatives member died last month, another senator has died this morning.

BREAKING NEWS: House Of Reps Deputy Majority Leader, Buba Jibril Is Dead 

The Senator representing Katsina North Central District, Engineer Mustapha Bukar has passed away. The lawmaker also known as Madawakin Daura, reportedly died on this morning at Nizamiye hospital in Abuja after a brief illness.

Confirming his death, the late Senator’s personal assistant, Ahmad Daura, posted the news of his principal’s death on his Facebook page early this morning.

Untill his death, Senator Bukar was a trained civil engineer born in Daura in 1954. He was a member of Institute of Civil Engineers, Council of Registered Engineers of Nigeria, Nigerian Society of Engineers and American Waterwork Association.

He was also the President, Nigerian Water Supply Association, Chairman African Water resources and Member Nigeria Institute of Management.

A one time Director of Special Duties on Agriculture, Water Resources and Rural Development in the Ministry of Agriculture.

He was the Chairman, Senate Committee on Capital Markets.
Mr Bukar was recently in the news when he sponsored the training of 400 unemployed youths in his Senatorial District on yoghourt making and poultry production for self-reliance and empowerment
