Governor of Edo State, Mr. Godwin Obaseki was at the graduation ceremony of 150 Libya returnees, who were trained on agribusiness to ease their reintegration into society.
The training is put together by the Edo State Government in collaboration with the Initiative for Youth Awareness on Migration, Immigration Development and Reintegration (IYAMIDR).
The governor said that 150 hectares of land and a N100 million seed fund has been earmarked for the returnees, noting that the programme will run on a value chain model which will be supported by the Benin-Owina River Basin Authority and the state ADP.
The training covers modules ranging from crop production, fishery and livestock, and is being facilitated by the State Agricultural Development Project (ADP).
