A 3 storey building undergoing renovation collapsed on Daddy Alaja street, Oke-Arin, Akongbon area of Lagos Island, Lagos state. The building collapsed about 7:25am this morning.
The cause of the collapse is not certain as at the time of this report.
When contacted, Adesina Tiamiyu, General Manager of the Lagos State Emergency Management Authority, (LASEMA), confirmed the incident. He added that rescue operation by officials of the agency is ongoing as as many are believed to be trapping beneath.
