FG Panel Reveals Bobrisky Lived Luxurious, Had Phones And Was Kept In Soundproofed Prison Cell

An investigative panel set up by the Federal Government has revealed that crossdresser, Bobrisky enjoyed several privileges during his six-month prison term, including access to mobile phones and accommodation in a specially furnished cell, Punch reported.

According to the panel's report, Bobrisky, whose real name is Okuneye Olanrewaju, was housed in a private cell fitted with a personal toilet and bathroom, television, fridge, carpet, humidifier and other amenities while at the maximum Security Custodial Centre, Kirikiri, Lagos.

The report further stated that he was allowed to receive visitors whenever he wanted and in whatever numbers he desired. Family members were also permitted to bring him meals. An inmate was reportedly assigned to attend to his personal needs.

One of the panel's key findings was the discovery of a soundproofed door attached to Bobrisky's cell, a feature it said was different from every other cells on the same floor.

The panel also discovered that Bobrisky had access to mobile phones while in custody despite prison regulations prohibiting such use.

The investigation was launched after social media activist VeryDarkMan shared an audio recording in which Bobrisky allegedly claimed he paid officials to secure special treatment during his imprisonment.

The panel has now recommended further investigations into the allegations and advised that VeryDarkMan be investigated over alleged data privacy violations and the dissemination of what it described as unverified claims.
