A Magistrate Court in Injiyaji, located in Damaturu, has sentenced 22-year-old man, Rabilu Sani to prison for r@ping a 4-year-old girl in Jakusko Local Government Area of Yobe State.
Sani lured the little girl into a room and r@ped her last year.
He was arrested on November 9, 2025 and charged to court upon completion of investigation.
The presiding Magistrate confirmed that the offense was proven and therefore convicted Rabilu Sani, sentencing him to twelve years in prison without the option of fine.
However, the court also confirmed that further medical tests showed that Rabilu Sani is not infected with HIV.
The Yobe State Government, through the Commissioner for Women Affairs, Hajiya Ya Jalo Badama, led the effort to seek justice for the victim, after months of legal battle in court.
