Hit-and-run Driver K!lls Masquerade In Akwa Ibom

A masquerade commonly known as “Ekpo” has been knocked down and k!lled by a hit-and-run driver in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

A journalist, Harrison Essien, who disclosed this on Monday evening, December 22, 2025 said the incident occurred when a speeding driver attempted to avoid another vehicle on the road and struck the masquerade in the process.

The body of the Ekpo lies along Usung Obio Ekpo road.
