The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has achieved near-total upload of polling unit results from the 2025 Anambra State Governorship Election on its result viewing portal (inecelectionresults.ng), with most Local Government Areas (LGAs) showing almost 100 per cent completion as of 4:10 a.m. Sunday.
A review of the live portal indicates that result uploads have been concluded in several LGAs including Awka South (390 of 390 polling units), Ogbaru (383 of 383), and Anambra East (241 of 241) — all marked “completed.”
Other areas also show impressive progress:
Aguata: 340 of 342 polling units uploaded
Awka North: 149 of 150
Njikoka: 229 of 231
Idemili South: 241 of 243
Dunukofia: 163 of 165
Oyi: 203 of 207
Anaocha: uploads ongoing
This means that, across the 21 LGAs of Anambra State, over 95 per cent of results from polling units have been transmitted to INEC’s Result Viewing Portal (IReV), indicating smooth electronic result management.
Observers note that the pace of uploads reflects improved logistics and functionality of the BVAS and IReV platforms compared to previous off-cycle elections.
