WWE And AEW Wrestler, Jaka Di£s At 39 After Suffering Heart Attack



A wrestling champion who appeared in WWE has di£d, at the age of 39.

Jaka, whose real name was Jonathan Echevarria, had been in intensive care unit over the weekend having suffered a heart attack.

Sadly, his family confirmed that he passed away earlier this morning.

Beyond Wrestling, where Jaka had performed in 2019, confirmed the de@th on social media by posting an image of him in the ring surrounded by his peers.

They wrote: “The original Ace. RIP Jaka.”

Jaka was a former tag team champion on the now-WWE owned Evolve brand and made an appearance to defend the titles at a WWE show in 2018 when the brand was owned by Gabe Sapolsky.

Sapolsky said earlier today: “A true tragedy. No one will say a bad word about the man. My deepest condolences to his family and friends. Thank you for everything, Jaka.”

And C*4 Wrestling posted on social media: “Very saddened to hear the news about Jaka’s passing. I always loved having him on shows.

“He was a welcome addition to our locker room. He was kind, hardworking, and thoughtful. To his friends and family, we send our love and support. Rest in peace.”

Jaka also made an appearance in All Elite Wrestling, teaming with Sean Maluta to take on the legendary tag team of Santana and Ortiz in a losing effort.

AEW star Penelope Ford took to Instagram to comment on the passing, and said: “One of the funniest, kindest and insightful humans I was blessed to have known.”

Jaka's last match came earlier this year, in March, when he fought for Boca Raton Championship Wrestling, teaming with Maluta again and Neil the Heel in a losing effort against Jonny Fairplay and Oddyssey.
