Dangote Refinery Commences Petrol Loading

The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has commenced loading of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), otherwise known as petrol, marking a significant step in Nigeria’s fuel distribution efforts.

This was contained in a video post on the official X handle of dangote refinery on Sunday, September 15.

This development comes on the heels of Nigeria’s fuel scarcity challenges, which have strained the supply chain across the country.

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) deployed 300 trucks to the refinery to lift fuel, emphasizing the government’s commitment to addressing shortages.

The launch of Dangote Refinery aims to reduce dependency on fuel imports and ensure a steady domestic supply of petrol.

The commencement of PMS loading comes at a crucial time, as the refinery is expected to play a pivotal role in stabilizing fuel availability across Nigeria.

The collaboration between NNPC and the Dangote Group signals a unified effort to combat the persistent fuel scarcity that has impacted the nation in recent months.

Dangote refinery, which is one of the largest refinery in Africa, is set to transform the Nigerian oil industry and significantly reduce the country’s reliance on imported fuel.

The government has assured citizens that they will work closely with Dangote to ensure consistent fuel supply, while NNPC’s deployment of the 300 trucks indicates its readiness to distribute the refined petrol efficiently across the country.
