As the Abia state governorship candidate of the Action Peoples Party (APP), Chief Mascot Uzor Kalu and his campaign team keep taking the simple adjuration "make Abia state great again" to the nooks and crannies of the state, his candidacy has raised high the hopes of the people who foresee a better Abia state with him as the Governor.
Yesterday, at the APP ward-round tour in Isiala Ngwa North L.G.A., the people expressed their optimism that Chief Kalu is the right candidate to turn around the state, stressing that, with the records of his brother's laudable performance as the then governor of the state, the expectations are high that he would outperform him.
This optimism was shared by Mr. Azubuike and Mr. Ignatius Ukandu of Ngwa Ukwu and Ama Asaa communities in wards 4 and 7 in that order, who spoke on behalf of the indigenes of the two communities after listening to Chief Kalu's actionable policies and programs if elected into office.
According to them, "your brother did well as a governor, and we are expecting that you will do far better than him. So, our expectations of you are high."
The APP governorship candidate, along with his running mate, Prof. Osondu Akoma, also campaigned at the INEC in Wards 2, 3, 5, 6, 8, 9, and 10 of Isiala Ngwa North.
Thereafter, the campaign train proceeded to Itungwa Ward 4 of Obingwa to meet with an overwhelming crowd of supporters and members of the APP.
