An individual known as Kenechukwu Okeke, with the Twitter handle @HumanRightsNG, filed the criminal complaint against ENDSARS pioneers.
He alleged that his properties were destroyed during the riots "instigated and incited" by the 50 "accused persons" and asked that promoters of the End SARS protests be brought to justice.
Most of the 50 names listed in the suit are celebrities. People like Aisha Yesufu, Pastor Sam Adeyemi, Tuface, Kanu Nwankwo, Davido, Banky W, Uche Jombo, Kiki Mordi, Falz, Yul Edochie, Flavour, Yemi Alade, Peter Okoye, Paul Okoye, Burna Boy, Modupe "Moe" Odele, and more.
The case was instituted on Monday pursuant to sections 88, 109(a), 110(1)(c) of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act, 2015.
