President Buhari Signs The Quarantine Order Backing Lockdown Extension

President Muhammadu Buhari, on Monday night, signed the Quarantine Order.

This was made known by his Personal Adviser on New Media.

The order gives a legal backing to the lockdown extension.

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja, Lagos and Ogun States are affected regions.

The Nigerian leader made the initial lockdown announcement in a national broadcast on Sunday, March 29.

But legal practitioners and critics condemned his “unilateral action”, arguing that it had to have legal backing which has necessitated the 'quarantine order'.
