About ten corpses got burnt, in an early morning fire that razed the morgue of Anatomy Department of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Osun State this morning.
Spokesperson for Osun Police Command, Folasade Odoro, confirmed the incident.
Sources on the campus said that the cause of the fire is still unknown, however, no life was lost in the incident.
The corpses that got burnt were said to be kept in the cabin inside the morgue.
A total of 10 dead bodies got burnt and detectives are already investigating the cause of the outbreak.
When contacted, the Public Relations Officer of the university, Abiodun Olanrewaju said a press statement would be issued on the development later.
