Nigerian Student Shot Dead In US For Playing Loud Music

A Nigerian teenager schooling in the US, identified as Oluwafemi Oyerinde, was reported to have been killed in his apartment complex near Kennesaw State University, over the weekend.

According to reports, Cobb County police stated that the shooting may have been as a result of an argument that ensued between neighbors who complained about loud music coming out from his apartment.

According to the Police, the 18-year-old was killed in the shooting, while two others identified as 18-year-old Khalil Bennett of Grayson and Jarius Bonner were later rushed to a local hospital for treatment.

Kennesaw State released this statement said;
“Kennesaw State officials have just received a release from the Cobb County Police Department confirming the names of the victims from a shooting incident on Sunday morning at the Stadium Villages, an off-campus apartment complex. It is with profound sadness that the University confirms the deceased victim, 18-year-old Oluwafemi Oyerinde, as an enrolled student at Kennesaw State University. Neither of the other two shooting victims is a Kennesaw State University student,”

Police are still trying to confirm the actual reason why Oluwafemi was shot to death.
The family members of the 18-year-old, described him as a person who usually embraced his loved ones and friends whenever he saw them.
