Speaker of the federal House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila who invited Onyema to the green chamber, commended him for sacrificing his primary purpose of business at no cost.
In his response, the Airline boss said;
"I have never been so honoured in my life.“I thank you all for allowing me to come and address you this morning. I did not evacuate the stranded Nigerians in South Africa for publicity,we saw it as a responsibility to carry. South Africa didn’t want this evacuation to take place because it is not good for any country. Xenophobia will die a natural death because of this evacuation.
Air Peace is ready to evacuate Nigerians, we are ready to go into South Africa even if it is one Nigerian that is remaining. I call on government to look at the plight of those who have lost everything they have worked for.
