COZA Rape Scandal: Pastor Resigns As Board Of Trustee Member

Pastor Obafemi Banigbe, a member of Commonwealth of Zion Assembly Board of Trustees has tendered his resignation letter with immediate effect for personal reasons.

In a letter dated July 19th, addressed to Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo and made available to the public, Obafemi Banigbe announced his exit as a member of Church’s Board of Trustees.

Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo who was accused of rape by Busola Dakolo, the wife of the popular singer, Timi Dakolo in a viral interview has been charged to court by the Dakolos.

Pastor Banigbe is the first member of the church’s board to tender a public resignation from the ministry, after Pastor Fatoyinbo stepped down on a leave of absence amidst immense pressure mounted on him.
