BREAKING NEWS: Tribunal Sacks Dino Melaye As Senator, Orders Fresh Election

Senator Dino Melaye's election as the Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District has been annulled by the Kogi State National Assembly/State Assembly Election Petition Tribunal.

The APC candidate in the February 23rd election, Smart Adeyemi, filed a petition before the tribunal challenging Dino's victory. He cited irregularities, over voting and non compliance with the electoral acts.

Delivering judgement on the petition this morning, the three man panel led by Justice A. O. Chijioke, unanimously annulled the election and ordered a fresh in the senatorial district.
