Panic As People Continue Scooping Fuel From A Vandalized Pipeline In Lagos

The residents of Fagbile Estate, Isheri Ijegun Road, Lagos, have fled their homes for safety as a result of a vandalized petroleum pipe which spilled its content in the area.

The pipeline was vandalized in the early hours of Thursday. Eyewitness reports say about six loads of tankers operated on it and left before day light.

One of the residents revealed that she was woken up by the smell of fuel from the broken pipeline. According to her, she saw some people carrying fuel in different kegs around 6am when she woke up to prepare food in her shop. The smell according to her is very strong.

Fear has gripped residents as the pipeline might explode someday damaging their properties worth millions of naira.
