The peoples Democratic Party, PDP Youth Leaders of all the Electoral Wards of Obingwa LGA have passed a vote of confidence on the Executive Governor of Abia State Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpezu and his deputy Rt. Hon. Ude Oko Chukwu and also adopted them as their sole candidate for the 2019 governorship election. This resolution was reached at their general Youth Meeting held on Monday 30th October 2017 presided over by Hon. Chimaobi Benson with all the Ward Youth Leaders present.
The motion of adoption was moved by Comrade Chingoziri Isaiah the Youth Leader of Ward 7 and seconded by Mr. Emeka Odoemelam the Youth Leader of Ward 6. The motion of adoption was subsequently adopted unanimously by the entire youths who spoke with one voice "Ikpeazu ga achi Abia ozo. Ochichi Ikpeazu di anyi mma ooooooooo......." they kept chanting.
The Obingwa PDP Youth Leader Hon. Chimaobi Benson in his speech extolled the unparalleled leadership qualities and people oriented governance of the Ikepeazu led administration in the areas of massive road construction and rehabilitation across the 17 local governments of the state and for championing the made in ABA goods globally and also for making ABA the capital of SMEs in Nigeria.
Furthermore, Hon Chimaobi Benson thanked Governor Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, Ph.D for appointing two of their illustrious sons Hon. Eziuche Ubani and Hon Bar. Uche Ihediwa as commissioners. He also acknowledged the great work being done by the ASEPA DGM Hon Chief Rowland Nwakanma (The Grand Total) in keeping ABA clean.
The Youth Leaders at the end of the meeting resolved to embark on massive grassroot mobilization and sensitization of their various wards by ensuring that all the youths of voting age will participate in the ongoing voters registration. The meeting ended with chants of "Ikpeazu ka anyi ga eso".
