Reports have it that President Muhammadu Buhari is set for the US trip to Washington DC on Monday, September 4, 2017.
The presidents trip to the US is at the invitation of President Donald Trump.
Sorces say that President Trump extended the invitation last February, not long after his inauguration.
According to an insider, President Buhari is scheduled to leave his hometown, Daura, by helicopter at 9:15 am on Monday for Katsina airport. From there, he will fly out at around 10 am onboard a presidential jet to Washington, DC.
Insiders say that the earlier plan was for president Buhari to combine the official visit to the US with that of the UN General Assembly in New York scheduled to kick off from September 21 to 25, 2017.
Another Presidency insider said the trip might take another shape to a to medical trip later.
