President Muhammadu Buhari says he is happy to see the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) achieving the purpose of national unity which inspired its creation in 1973 during the military regime.
In an interview with newsmen on Friday at his hometown in Daura, Katsina State, after the Eid-el-Kabir prayers, President Buhari said he is so far happy with the corps members which had over the years proven its purpose of establishment.
He expressly stated that the country is indivisible drawing his conclusion from the fact that most of the corps members in Katsina are mainly from the Southern part of the country.

He further said that youths in the course of NYSC learned a lot from other peoples culture and language which is a unique attribute of Nigeria.
He used the opportunity to recall his experience while he was in the army serving Nigeria in Lagos and Ibadan and his wonderful experience in those places.
