Comr. Ebere Davidson Speaks On The Need For Ngwa People To Embrace Politics During FNS' 27th Cultural Day In Nekede

The Federation of Ngwa Students (FNS), Nekede chapter on Saturday did their 27th cultural day.

Comrade Davidson Ebere, a former member and the current President of Abia Youths Assembly (AYA), an organization established for the betterment of Abia youths, was a special guest. He was invited to deliver a speech on the need for Ngwa students to embrace politics and he did justice to it.

Excerpts below:
Politics literarily is a game of interest. It is out of context for anyone to assert not being part of it.  I view it as a natural part of every living creature. As you do not live in isolation from each other, it is obvious and certain that you must need something; more obvious is that, the person next to you as well needs what you need maybe more desperately.

The steps you take to make sure you grab the desired thing or fortune ahead of the other is Politics.
With this layman’s describtion, it should be known to you now that even the Pastor on the pulpit is into politics.

In the world we live today, good things elude areas without political powers. Any clan, tribe or ethnic group without people with political power will certainly suffer some level of maginaliztion ranging from lack of social amenities like electricity, pipe-borne water, health facilities among others.

A people who shun politics going by the popular postulation that it is a dirty game will surely suffer its ruins.

As Ngwa Students, you must wake up and stand for with is due to our people by being actively involved in politics either by voting or beign voted for.
A people who failed to vote out wrong leaders have succeeded in voting them in.

PROS OF POLITICAL POWER
1. Infrastructural Development
2. Educational Advancement
3. Dignity of the People
4. Recognition of the Existence of a Group in a Society.

WHY THE SLOW PACE OF NGWA PEOPLE IN POLITICS
1. Ndi Ngwa saw politics as a dirty game in genesis.
2. Ndi Ngwa rejected Politics due to religion
3. Ndi Ngwa as clear symbol of ndi Igbo. never believed in the White Man’s idealogy of leadership.
4. Education which exposes the gains of political powers was not embrased early enough by ndi Ngwa.
5. Ndi Ngwa were too magnanimous with political power as they easily allowed others to take juicy and strategic positions due to them.
6. Political inconsistency.
7. Selfishness of the few who are in power.

HOPE BEYOND THE DARKNESS
1. Ndi Ngwa today is proudly the most educated people in Abia State.
2. Ngwa Students now know the importance of politics.
3. Ndi Ngwa have succeeded in taking the seat of power in Abia State due to the high level of political awareness and acceptance.
4. Ngwa is currently the most populated clan in South East Nigeria, as such we now know the value of numbers during election in Abia State and Nigeria.

My dear brothers and Sisters, do not allow anyone to deceive you into believing that politics is sinful as the first campaign to retain Political Powers and supremacy took place in Heaven and God won.
As Ngwa People, we should always strive to make sure that our political interest is fair, just, and equitable to all concerned and above all, divinely accepted by God Almighty.
I want to assure you, never again will ndi Ngwa be found wanting in places of power and affluence hence we will remain consistent in quest for our rightful place in Governance of our people.

After the Presentation, the Students honoured him with an Award of Indefatigable Youth Leader.
