Prof. Andrew Zamani of the Nassarawa State University, Keffi, on Thursday said that failure of Nigerian youths to stand up to their leaders and demand accountability, explained why leaders are mindless and shun their responsibilities to the people.

He decried the situation whereby youths, who are supposed to be concerned with issues of justice and equity, have decided to become tools in the hands of selfish politicians to be recruited as touts and thugs.
According to him, such acts make it difficult for organised efforts towards national development to succeed.
The above from Prof Zamani is in conformity with the awareness being created by the People's comrade Igwe in the last nineteen (19) years.
A group of youths known as Redemption of Ikwuano Umuahia under the umbrella of APGA has urged the youths to support the peoples comrade come 2019 in rally held at Ikuano in Abia state on Friday.
According to them, the youths must stand up and elect their own in 2019. The youths must shun Thuggery and ballot snatching ; the Youths must be armed with their voters card and play a significant role in defining their future .
