Kidnapped House of Rep member released

Kidnappers have released the member of the House of Representatives , Hon. Garba Durbunde, who was abducted along Abuja- Kaduna Expressway, on Wednesday.

Durbunde was said to be  abducted on his way back to the Federal Capital Territory after a trip to Kano, his state.

According to reports, the lawmaker representing Takai / Sumaila was released after an undisclosed amount was paid as ransom.
An aide to the lawmaker , Tunde Adela, confirmed his release yesterday.
Earlier, Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano had condemned the kidnap.
